I'm Back. =p
This two-week vacay is doing me real good.
My family and I just got back from our Ilocos tour yesterday morning.. And that's the reason why I disappeared from Net-dom for a couple of days. Pwede ko na mapagyabang na nakatungtong na ako at naka-ikot ng Vigan, nakasakay sa Calesa, nakakain ng Empanada at Sinanglaw. We also went to Chavit's Baluarte and it's a really nice place! I loved the White Deers, the Alpaccas, and the Camel! Nagpakain pa kami ng Orangutan at Cockatiels! Tapos tapos nag-pony ride pa kami at nanood ng Animal Show. Mom volunteered me (actually semi-pushed) for the Reticulated Python, if I'm not mistaken. Mao had an albino Boa Constrictor, I think, put around his neck. Asteeegggg... XD
Friday morning, we proceeded to the Marcos territories, Paoay Church, etc. I finally got to see Marcos' waxened body. The gallery was uber creepy.. The creepiest place that I've been to, so far. Then at around 9pm, we reached our ultimate destination: Pagudpud! =] Given that it's summer and it was a long weekend, we had a
hard time finding a resort with a room for 7. After seeing the advertisement, I suggested that we have dinner at Sarabo, the souvenir shop that we passed earlier. Aside from having great food, their lodges were unoccupied, too! So we settled for the next best thing: lodges for the night then rent a picnic cottage in one of the resorts in the morning. It was a waaayyy cheaper alternative. =P If you guys happen to be in Pagudpud, I highly recommend staying there.
Anyway, Pagudpud for me was like this:
The water was one big blanket of sparkling sapphires, light blue and dark, with occasional waves breaking the calm. The sky, a clear azure with hints of wispy white clouds. The sand, stretching for miles, was exteremely fine and a pleasure to walk on. The spread palm trees were delicate green shades from the intense heat. And the wind.. it was as cool as the night. The windmills of Bangui can also be seen, not as imposing as that of the Dutch windmills with giant blades, but they were a fresh white that blended in with the scenery, as if they were really meant to be there. Then everything was washed with the graceful radiance of the sun.
Ayos. Hehe. But it was really like that for me. I was thinking, while looking out for my brothers and sitting in one of the felled coconut trees, if only there was an effective way to preserve forever what I was seeing, then I'd be able to let the other people see and at least experience in their minds what Pagudpud is like. Sounds like I really enjoyed, ne? But good times don't last for long because they only last until lunchtime. Manong Lobster was there, offering his fresh catch to the tourists.. Siyempre my folks were enticed so they bought around 2 kilos (for 350php lang!) So ayun, sabi nila okay lang na kumain kami (my sister, me, and my brother) ng seafoods from time to time para mawala yung allergy. Sige, okay na idea yun. Sarap na sarap ako kasi first time ko makakain ng lobster..
"Mommyyyyyyy 'yung anti-histamine! Nangangati na 'ko! *gasp* *gasp* Hindi ako makahinga, 'yung throat ko! *gasp* My stomach hurts!"
Panic mode. Hehe. Dad and I rushed to the pharmacy. I took a capsule of Benadryl AH then gave one to Miguel, too. My folks were forced to bring Migs and me back to Sarabo. By that time, nakadalawang Benadryl na kami plus Maalox chewables (parang Colgate candies lang). High na high kami, mehn! Hanggang pagbiyahe namin pabalik ng Laoag, lutang pa rin ako. And I had to take Maalox again before our 12-hour trip back to Manila. Ang saya. XD
So ayun lang, wala pa yung pictures kasi.. Tinatamad pa ko mag-upload. Hehe. XD
Pahabol: I know this is already a long post but.. nakapag-drive na 'ko sa expressway! Woot! *cheers* Mag-practice raw ako ulit mag-drive.. Kaya ako nautusan kanina na ihatid 'yung kasambahay namin sa mga bangko. Kasama naman si idol kanina kaya confident ako. Hehe. >=) Despite the near-nervous breakdown nina idol at ate, okay na ako. I can now wreck havoc on the highway! Wahaha! Seriously, I gave them scary moments earlier but I knew that I can handle the car.. Besides, I seem to be rather lucky.. Therefore they should be more trusting. Hahaha! Now, I just have to work on my backing and parking.. =P
p.s. For you morbid-loving anime fans, watch
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It's like School Days minus the ecchi part.
Nakakabaliw! XD XD XD
