I feel kind of regretful that I dared to go to Metro Manila yesterday, despite the really heavy rain and strong wind in the south. It was the worst kind of weather for travel because the visibility was almost zero and cars are going at around 20-40 kph. Scary.
I stayed here in Makati to wait for the rain to stop, which didn't happen until early morning today. The shock of having water inside our houses was utter. Imagine the ipis and the bacteria! Mas nakaka-paranoid pala kapag alam mo yung mga sakit na pwedeng dumapo sa'yo dahil sa baha tapos wala kang magawa. We're relatively lucky because the flood's gone. I started getting the water and muck out of the house at around 5 a.m.; checked up on the car at 8. We disconnected the battery and put plastic around the muffler last night. The sound of a car's engine never sounded better after I started it. Haha. Just have to bring it to the car wash AFTER we go to Cainta to help my aunt. The water there reached chest-high and they were all relegated to the second floor; none of their appliances, clothes, etc. were saved.
Even my other aunts who're living in Metro Manila suffered the same thing.
Now walang tubig because the tank motor got broken. My 'rents are stuck in Pampanga, NLEX is still inaccessible. Wanna go home to Munti na.
Whatta weekend. Nakaka-stress.
Let's pray for all the people who still need help, those who need to be rescued, and those who died.
